Waterfowl Viewing

MTM Conservation Association, in partnership with the Midland-Penetanguishene Field Naturalists, is hosting its annual Waterfowl Day on Saturday April 11th, 2026 10:00 am on the Trotter Dyke. Knowledgeable birders with spotter scopes will be available to help you identify the multitude of ducks, geese and swans that use the wetland as a stopover or nesting location. Come and enjoy this springtime spectacle and learn about the importance of Tiny Marsh to migratory birds and their annual life cycle.

Tiny Marsh

This is always one of our favourite club outings of the year, when we get to share our scopes and our knowledge with each other and members of the general public. We’ll send out reminders and a club sign up sheet when we get a little closer to the date.

MTM informs us that they will have the Nature Centre open for the duration of the event so that washrooms will be available. We meet in the Trotter Dyke parking lot (the north south dyke a little east of the Nature Centre) at 10 AM. The event usually runs to about Noon.
